Governor's Message

Respected  Lions, Namaskar!

At the outset, please accept my hearty gratitude for all the help and cooperation extended in electing me as the District Governor of District 325A. Noticeably, day after day, year after year, we are growing to serve. Service is our motto, undoubtedly. Service has no boundary or limitation. Let we continue to serve and care the best possible way, we can.int

WE LIONS are the loving individuals offering needed services wherever and whenever it is possible. 93rd Lions International (Sydney) Convention has given clear message to all the Lions fraternity that service has always been our utmost concern and challenges to overcome. Be it in the China or to Bangladesh or to Africa or…….…..elsewhere. Our foundation (LCIF) is doing a lot to the aftermath of Katrina or Tsunami and Haiti Quake victims.

Involving youth, working with the global warming and hunger stricken community and service to visually impaired are some of the award winning priority programs of our International President Sid L Scruggs III. ‘A Beacon of Hope’ with symbolic lighthouse is to ‘shine the light’ to the lives of needy communities. President Scruggs III says ‘I want Lions to realize they are the ones that people look for a promise of a better tomorrow. They are the Beacon of Hope. Serving together, our light is shining brighter than ever before”. Collectively, we are a powerful beacon of hope for people looking for light in their lives.

Service and fellowship has been an indispensable part of our living. This year, at the end, let us get ready to celebrate a year of ‘Service through Fellowship’. I and you, we can make it happen if we simply persistent and committed to do so. As your Governor of this year, I urge the clubs to priorities the programs listed by the district. One member plus in each club, blood donation and orientation program is our priority with at least one tree plantation and women health related program/activity.

All in all, at this juncture, let you and me come together to fight back against evil doing and put your efforts to maintain the dignity of our great organization, positively.  Let our motto work best than ever before and let the truth prevail on earth.

‘The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others’, - Mahatma Gandhi.

Long Live Lionism!
